High Potential Participant Selection Criteria
Selection of high potential members for SOAR should be based on the following criteria:
- 7 – 17 years in the workforce
- High potential – demonstrates a high level of professionalism and performance, exceeding the expectation of the job requirements
- Individual contributor - repeatedly demonstrates the ability to deliver on individual assignments
- Emerging manager/team or project leader – managing people and/or projects with approximately 3-5 years management experience
- Technical knowledge and experience in their chosen field
- Desire to lead and take on new challenges
- Committed to the pursuit of continued learning and growth professionally and personally
Program Schedule
- Nine meetings over a nine month period
- Overnight retreat
- Eight one-half day meetings from 8:00am - 12:30pm
- City meeting locations rotate among SOAR member companies
- Continental breakfast is provided at each meeting
- Last three months of program is focused on a self-directed, philanthropic leadership project
