Participant and Program Schedule

High Potential Participant Selection Criteria

Selection of high potential members for SOAR should be based on the following criteria:

  • 7 – 17 years in the workforce
  • High potential –  demonstrates a high level of professionalism and performance, exceeding the expectation of the job requirements 
  • Individual contributor - repeatedly demonstrates the ability to deliver on individual assignments
  • Emerging manager/team or project leader –  managing people and/or projects with approximately 3-5 years management experience 
  • Technical knowledge and experience in their chosen field 
  • Desire to lead and take on new challenges 
  • Committed to the pursuit of continued learning and growth professionally and personally 

Program Schedule

  • Nine meetings over a nine month period
    • Overnight retreat
    • Eight one-half day meetings from 8:00am - 12:30pm
  • City meeting locations rotate among SOAR member companies 
  • Continental breakfast is provided at each meeting
  • Last three months of program is focused on a self-directed, philanthropic leadership project
